STAFF TEAM
David was born in Glasgow but was brought up in Norfolk and has dual British/Swiss nationality. Pre-ordination he completed a business degree and worked in public relations consultancy; he joined the team as Vicar in 2012! David is married to Mary, who is a cellist, and they have four (mostly!) grown-up children: Daniel, Emily, Chloe, and Sophie. David worked in the wash-up at Buckingham Palace during his student holidays and enjoys good cheese and strong coffee!
Terence joined Christ Church in 2017 as a curate before becoming our Associate Minister. He is married to Robyn whom he met in Paris, and they love visiting Australia where she was born and brought up. Terence enjoys the outdoors be it gardening or walking or coffee shops. For many years, he held a private pilot’s licence and the words, “Welcome aboard, this is your pilot Terence Russoff” would make many a passenger sit up! Terence is also a huge advocate for our young people, serving at REAL Summer and coming to youth weekend aways!
anne lovegrove
Anne is a retired Vicar but joined Christ Church in 2011 to help with a clerical vacancy. When David Hall became Vicar, he asked Anne to stay on and continue her involvement with the ministry at Christ Church. Anne is married to Philip, and they have four children (plus children-in-laws), five grandchildren and one great-grandson, it can be very lively when they all get together! She enjoys English Folk Dancing, singing in a choir and playing badminton which all provides tons of fun!
Josh grew up in the local area, he came and helped at REAL and attended YPF as a sixth-former. He joined the staff team in 2021 as a Ministry Trainee, before being promoted to Youth Pastor in 2023! Josh recently got married to Ruth, who was a former MT with him. Josh is a Watford fan (which he doesn’t shout about at the moment!) and is a keen Green Bay Packers fan (Go Pack Go!). He spends his free time hanging out with mates or playing sports, he loves a parkrun or binge-watching his favourite TV show – Brooklyn 99!
Evangeline was brought up in Devon (where scones are served correctly!) and moved to the London area in 2022 for a discipleship year in a church much like Christ Church. She is now entering her final year studying at the London School of Theology alongside serving the children & families of the parish after joining the staff team last year. She enjoys singing & worshipping with friends, reading (when she has time) and spending time in the great outdoors which reminds her of home.
Matt started working at Christ Church in 2024, where he particularly enjoys being involved in youth work and supporting young people. Originally from Grimsby, he is a passionate supporter of Grimsby Town. He loves sport, especially playing football, and has the impressive ability to identify every flag in the world. Matt is also a keen motorsport fan and enjoys following F1. His favourite driver is Lewis Hamilton, and a supporter of McLaren. His favourite food is pasta—just not when it ends up in his bed or car!
Tom joined Christ Church as a Ministry Trainee in 2025, he claims to be from the best county in the UK – Dorset. He has 3 brothers and 1 sister. Tom enjoys collecting Lego and going to the gym in his spare time and attempts to play golf. He enjoys going to the pub with my friends, supports Bath rugby team and Haas F1 team. Tom does not get on with AI.
Laura has been attending Christ Church for 14 years and has been a member of the staff team serving as an Assistant Pastoral Minister for 10 years; her aim is to help draw people closer to Jesus through care and compassion. She lives in Chorleywood with her husband, son and German Shepherd dog and loves spending time walking in the beautiful countryside locally. She has a passion for restorative nutrition and enjoys creating her own recipes to try on her family! Laura is also a talented musician, and you can often find her in the band at our 10:30am service.
Laura started attending Christ Church over 12 years ago and has been a member of the staff team serving as a pastoral minister for almost 8 years! She lives in Chorleywood with her husband, son and German Shepherd Dog and loves spending time walking in the beautiful countryside locally. She loves to cook and making up her own recipes to try on her family! Laura is also a talented musician, and you can often find her in the band at our 10:30am service.
Chris grew up in Denham and spent some time growing up in southwest Wales. She worked at Mount Vernon Hospital for 18 years, mainly in quality-of-life research for cancer patients and their carers. She lives in Sarratt with her husband Mark, cats and boxer dog. She has 3 children, 2 granddaughters and has been part of Christ Church family for 20 years, joining staff in 2021. She embraces sound theological teaching and has a light-hearted nature that thrives where there is fun and laughter!
Bronwyn has been part of the team at Christ Church since 2023 but has been part of the family here for much longer. She was born in South Africa and qualified as an Aesthetician. As the church administrator she ensures the smooth and efficient operations of the church. One of her goals is to help others experience the Love of Jesus. Bronwyn enjoys engaging with others over a good cup of coffee and preferably in the garden, weather permitting (which can be hard here).
Sarah was bought up in Chalfont St Peter and joined the staff team in 2018. As a teenager she attended Gold Hill Baptist and remembers attending events at St Andrews. She’s involved in a lot of local cub and scout groups and enjoys teaching children basic outdoor skills. Sarah is married to Ian with two adult children and has two house cats who she loves (maybe more than her kids). Sarah enjoys nothing better than an evening round the campfire with friends and she can fix almost anything!
Cathy first joined the office team alongside a career in Speech and Language Therapy, as ‘seasonal staff’ in Christmas 2014. She lives locally with husband Andy, and family. Now retired, she continues to work part time and enjoys being part of the Christ Church team. Cathy also plays the horn in a local brass group and is unable to resist a great charity shop bargain!
