Are you at a loose end and in need of some social interaction? Do you need a new focus, or feel like learning a new skill?  Then come and join our friendly, guided, Christian mutual support group for scripture, prayer, conversation and, of course, knitting!

The aim of this group is to encourage the development of new friendships, borne out of the challenges of bereavement, living alone, and/or loneliness.  No previous knitting experience is required, just a pair of needles and a ball or two of wool!  There are experienced members within the group who are only too happy to teach beginners!   We supply the patterns for new knitters to get to grips with, and also encourage those with more experience to bring their own patterns to work on.

As a group, we are actively seeking projects that we can knit for within the wider community.  Currently we are helping to provide jumpers and beanie hats for babies in Uganda.

We currently meet weekly on a Tuesday afternoon at 2pm.  The session runs for an hour and half, closing in prayer at 3.30. We are now able to meet in church however due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, our meetings are restricted to a maximum of 15 people.  Please sign up to this event through the relevant entry in the Calendar, or contact the church office on 01923 282149, in order to reserve your place!

This group is facilitated by Laura Joiner.  For more information please call the church on 01923 282149 or email Laura.Joiner@cccw.org.uk.
