Discovery evenings are suspended.
It may be some time before we are able to come together again;
here is what we were doing until we had to stop:
Discovery Evenings – three sessions each year
Starting again at 7.30pm on Thursday 30 January
If you’re new to Christ Church or have been here for years, our Discovery programme is a brilliant way to meet new people and enjoy a great time, while learning together. A hot supper is provided on arrival, before we break for coffee and a choice of three learning streams:
WHY SUFFERING? – a brand new course devised by Anne Lovegrove.
BIBLE BOOK BY BOOK – we continue our sweep through every book of the Bible, with lively chat, laughter and sharing, led by the vicar.
DISCIPLESHIP EXPLORED – the very latest new version of the acclaimed course from the people who wrote “Christianity Explored” – led by our curates Jacob and Terence.
Weekly from 30th Jan – 19th Mar 2020 (no meeting during half term 20th Feb).
Suggested donation: £7 per evening to cover the cost of food. It’s very helpful to know how many to cater for, so please sign up on the sheet provided or let the church office know: 01923 282149 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also, the Daytime Discovery programme continues to run, with many small groups meeting to study the Bible and encourage one another during the week. Each group follows a three year programme beginning with Christianity Explained and then continues into further Bible study together. There is a group meeting every week day and we are excited to welcome anyone seeking faith or wanting to grow in God. If you’d like to know more, please contact Eileen Gardner or Lu Chadder via the church office.
