FAMILY FUN DAY – Sat 7th September, 2-5pm
Christ Church Chorleywood are excited to be hosting a Family Fun day on Saturday 7th September 2-4pm. We are celebrating 150 years of the current church building, and looking forward to our future as a church and community. We’ll have games, a bouncy castle, bbq, a youth zone, a pamper zone, and in the church a peaceful area with a history display and afternoon teas. The first church on our site was opened in the 1840s, but following rapid expansion parishioners got together and a new building was opened in 1870. We’d hope to have a big celebration in 2020 for 100 years, but events overtook us that year!
We are taking the time out to look back at our background and history, with photos and details of all the changes that have taken place, as well as notable folk who have made an impact on the church over the last 150+ years. We are also looking forward to the continued growth of the church family here in Chorleywood, and there will be information on all the activities that take place here. As part of our celebrations renowned evangelist Rev Canon J John is speaking at the morning services on Sunday 8th September. It will be a fabulous weekend and we look forward to seeing lots of people come and visit!
