Children’s Ministry Update

As lockdown is eased and the guidance from the government and the Church of England is updated there is more flexibility in regards to the programme that we as a children’s ministry can put on.

At the moment we are hosting children’s groups for those in Reception-Year 5 at both our in person morning services. For those not at school we host a self service creche where parents stay with their children and the service is live streamed.

On the 31st October we are hosting Light Party at Home. Usually we host a Light Party at the church, however due to the current restrictions we are unable to do this. Instead, we ar producing Light Party at Home boxes which will contain all you need to host your own Light Party from the comfort of your home! More information, and to secure your Light Party at Home box, visit here.

While we are unable to do our usual midweek groups (Lighthouse and Illuminate) at the moment, we are planning on returning with these soon. Keep an eye on your emails, and this page, for more information soon.

All our programmes are run in line with social distancing and National Youth Agency guidelines/advice. Additionally, in order to attend all events, sign-up in advance is required.

To sign up, and for more information about each programme, or if you have any questions about any of our programmes, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Brianna, our children’s minister: brianna.ricciardo@cccw.org.uk.

Kids of All Ages

At Christ Church we believe that everyone, no matter how old or young can know God’s love; His love is not limited by if we can walk and talk, or read or write – it’s far bigger than that! We want children to experience church as a place of fun, laughter and love, and to walk with them as they journey with and discover Jesus.

Christ Church Kids runs groups during our 10:30am and Church @ 12 Sunday services. Our 10:30am groups are:

Pebbles

You can safely leave those aged 0-2 in Pebbles. There are songs, craft activities, story time, snacks and plenty of toys. Sign into the group by the Pebbles room where we encourage you to leave your children with us and enjoy adult church. You’ll receive a number which if you’re needed by your child at all during the service, will pop up on the screen for you to let you know.

Scramblers (ages 3-5 or Nursery-Reception)

Climbers (school years 1-2)

Explorers (school years 3-5)

In our age appropriate groups, this term we are looking at a BIG Life with Jesus. We want children to lead BIG expansive lives, grow up to be BIG people that lead and influence in every area of their BIG lives. Believing in a BIG God and making a BIG difference!

SUNDAY MORNING CHECK-IN

Before church starts, sign in your kids at the registration table- lookout for the leaders in our red ‘Christ Church Kids’ team t-shirts. We then worship together as a church family in the service before heading off to our own groups.

Church @ 12

Christ Church Kids @ 12 runs during our Church @ 12 service. We love to play LOTS of games together, do crafts and have a chat about God. We worship together as a church family in the service before following our kids leaders into our group.
